Lightweight, Automatic Projectors Provide Easy Setup, Bright Images

CHICAGO – August 4, 2008 – NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading standalone provider of commercial and residential LCD and plasma displays and projectors, announced today the NP41 and NP61 digital projectors, designed with features to enable simple use in corporate and educational environments.

The lightweight automatic NP41 and NP61 provide bright (2300 and 3000 lumens) and colorful images while remaining quiet in operation (32dB in ECO Mode™). Their quickstart and quick-cooling features minimize setup and teardown times between meetings, and their automatic focus instantly provides a sharp detailed image. The NP41 and NP61 automatically detect the source and project the image with auto input selection, while their AutoSense™ feature intuitively syncs the projector with most computer signals and features one-touch image optimization. The automatic vertical keystone correction technology instantly projects a square image, even when the projector is set up at a steep offset angle.

“The NP41 and NP61 projectors provide the powerful features required by mobile users while remaining lightweight and cost-effective,” said Rich McPherson, Product Manager at NEC Display Solutions. “Their automatic features deliver the technological innovation expected of NEC products, delivering bright and brilliant
images.”

The NP41 and NP61 digital projectors feature:

• 2300 and 3000 lumens, respectively
• 1600:1 contrast ratio
• XGA 1024 x 768 resolution
• Lightweight at 3.5 lbs
• BrilliantColor™ technology with 6-segment color wheel, which dramatically
increases system brightness and color saturation
• AutoSense, which intuitively syncs the projector with most computer signals and
features one-touch optimization
• 15-pin RGB, RCA, S-Video input connectors and audio input
• HD compatibility
• ECO Mode technology, which increases lamp life by up to 40 percent for up to
3500 hours
• Quiet operation at <32dB

The NP41 and NP61 come with a two-year limited parts and labor warranty, including the first year with InstaCare™ (repair and return in three business days or next business day exchange) and a one-year/500-hour lamp warranty.
