InFocus Debuts New IN2100 and IN3100 Series Projectors

InFocus Corp., the industry pioneer in digital projection technology, is debuting five new projectors in its IN2100 and IN3100 series that create a new standard in high brightness and rich features for entry-level priced projectors. Increased zoom capabilities, true-to-life colors, and 3000-3500 lumens ensure a crisp, brilliant image under any classroom or meeting room lighting condition. The IN2100 series also introduces the first InFocus projector to offer networking functionality for less than $1000 (US).

“With the adoption of flat panels in schools and businesses, expectations for what’s ‘bright enough’ have changed,” said Robert Detwiler, product manager, InFocus. “For the IN2100 and IN3100 series, we have dramatically increased brightness and coupled it with the performance characteristics of some of our best-selling projectors for brilliant, large-scale projection at affordable price points.”

The IN2100 is available now starting at $599 and comes standard with a long life lamp that should last most schools and businesses many years with typical usage. Two computer and assignable audio inputs offer convenience for multiple presenters, while security features and an available networking option offer easier management of projector assets.

“The rich features of IN2100 series offers exactly what an organization needs for high-quality, engaging multimedia displays,” said Chris Kolkman, IT/Software Developer for Precision Data Products Inc. “Customers will especially appreciate the networking capabilities, high lumens, ease of operation, and the ability to better control all projectors over a network.”

The IN3100 projectors start at $1,499 and support several ease-of-use enhancements including HDMI compatibility with modern notebooks and HDTVs, DisplayLink for easy USB connectivity, LitePort for PC-free presenting, LiteShow II for wireless connectivity for multiple users over standard WiFi, and Wireless DisplayLink for point-to-point connectivity over Ultra-wideband (UWB). The IN2116 and IN3116 are widescreen models, ideal for smaller presentation environments.

All new projectors in the IN2100 and IN3100 series offer a green-friendly Eco Mode for lower power consumption and are designed to consume less than one watt of power in standby mode. With native resolutions from SVGA, XGA, to WXGA and a maximum resolution of WUXGA (1900 X 1200), the projectors offer the proven picture reliability of DLP technology from Texas Instruments, the InFocus BrilliantColor implementation for vivid colors, a filter-free, dust-resistant design for less maintenance, and an industry-leading, five-year limited factory warranty for reliable, worry-free operation.
