Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America Announces New XD95U Pico-Portable Projector

Pico-Portable Projector Perfect for Mobile Presenters, Sales and Training Staff on the Go

IRVINE, Calif., November 13, 2008 — Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division, known for award-winning, high-quality, high-definition presentation and display products, today announced the release of the XD95U, its new 3.3-pound pico-portable projector for presenters on the go. Its estimated 3000-hour lamp life (in low mode) and filter-free design provide a low total cost of ownership, making it an economical choice.

Blasting a bright 2200 ANSI lumens, Mitsubishi's new pico portable XD95U allows users to present in a myriad of lighting conditions, even in rooms with the lights on and window shades open. With its quick-cooling instant shut-down feature, the XD95U also lets the presenter make a rapid exit after a presentation to accommodate tight classroom or sales meeting schedules.

"Often times meeting rooms are booked back-to-back and presenters need to pick up their materials and hardware and go," said Wayne Kozuki, product manager for Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division. "The quick-cooling feature in the XD95U helps presenters get back on the road or to their desks with minimal delay."

Mitsubishi’s new XD95U XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) resolution projector uses Texas Instruments DLP® technology, and comes in a small and compact design making it the ideal travel companion. For easy set-up, color wall support allows users to select a particular surface color including light yellow, light green, blue, pink — even blackboard. Once the color is chosen the projector automatically adjusts its output to create the best image possible for that background or base color surface, making set-up a breeze.

Pricing, Availability, Warranty
The suggested retail price of Mitsubishi’s XD95U is $1,495. The projector will be available this month through authorized Mitsubishi dealers comes with Mitsubishi’s three-year limited warranty on parts and labor a 90-day limited warranty on the lamp. The projector is also covered by Mitsubishi’s award-winning Express Replacement Assistance (ERA) Program, a nationwide comprehensive service provided for units under warranty that offers next business-day replacement for down units.
